Nest & Hedge

Grounded Space, from Roots to Roof

Nest & Hedge is about the spaces we call home, inside and out. The “nest” is the interior of our home, where we rest, restore, and create comfort. The “hedge” is the nature and surroundings just outside our door. Together, these two spaces are intertwined and can be shaped to feel cozy, grounded, and aligned with nature, supporting a simple, plain, and minimal lifestyle.

Natural Spaces

Invite nature into your outdoor space by planting flowers, shrubs, or adding a small drinking fountain. Live in an apartment? Look into a window box with small flowers or a potted plant on your balcony. It doesn't have to be much. Any access to nature, big or small, goes a long way.

Indoor Plants

I know what some of you are thinking — I don't like plants, or I can't seem to keep one alive. Keep trying. Having plants inside your home provides a sense of being around nature, helps clean the air, and decorates without the clutter. If you tend to be away a lot, there are plants that can go a long time without watering.

Air It Out

Have you heard of the German term "house burping"? It's the idea that we should open our windows at least once a day and let fresh air in. The thought of the same air circulating through our homes and workplaces is a little worrying. Air out your home — even and especially in the winter. Breathe it up!
